Lubbock's five Senior Citizen Centers are located throughout the city. Each center offers visitors a clean, attractive facility where you can take a class, dance the night away, learn how to use the computer, get in shape through an exercise class or just enjoy a game of pool or bingo with your friends.

 

City facilities are closed on these City Holidays:
New Year's Day, MLK Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day,  4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

 

Senior Programs


Senior Lunch Program
Hot lunches served at all Senior Center

Monday - Friday 12:00 Noon (Homestead 11:30 am)
Suggested donation rate of $2 for individuals age 60 or older.
Guests under age 60 have a mandatory charge of $4.


Senior Transportation

To and From Senior Centers
Age 60+  $1 donation each way
Monday-Friday All Centers

LUBBOCK SENIOR GAMES

Sanctioned by the Texas Senior Games Association. August 15-18, 2007, seniors competed in open events including: Tennis, Golf, Swimming, Basketball, Track/Field, Table Tennis, Road Race, Cycling and Bowling. The top five places in each event age group qualified for the 2007 Texas Senior Games.

Ages: 50+
