Senior Lunch Program
Hot lunches served  Monday - Friday 12:00 Noon
Suggested donation rate of $2 for individuals age 60 or older.
Guests under age 60 have a mandatory charge of $4.

 

QUILTING CLUB

“A stitch in time will save nine” when you get together w/friends  Stitch, Sew, and Share your quilt patterns.

Instructor: Sara Placencia

Ages: 50+

Tues/11:00-2:00

BALLOON VOLLEYBALL

Balloon volleyball provides exercise, builds coordination, and promotes teamwork.

Ages: 50+            Free

Eight to ten games are played with small prizes won.

BIRTHDAYS

Monthly birthdays of seniors and wedding anniversaries are announced and celebrated.

Blood pressure checks are offered by Covenant Health Systems.

Blood pressure/glucose checks are offered by Health for Friends.

Ages: 50+            Free

COVERED DISH DINNERS

Bring a guest and a covered dish. Special meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

3rd Friday of every month

DOMINO TOURNAMENTS

Tournaments for individuals are held monthly.  Amateur players welcome.  Prizes awarded. 

Ages: 60+  Free.

Field trips are planned on a monthly basis for seniors.

FITNESS EQUIPMENT

A treadmill, exercise bike, and hand weights are available for seniors. Record your distance weekly.

Daily 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

 

HEALTH SCREENINGS

Screenings for high blood pressure and glucose are offered by Health for Friends or Covenant once a month.

Ages: Seniors Free!

10:30-Noon Every Thursday

 

INDOOR WALKING

Record your distance on the treadmill on a weekly basis. 

Ages: 50+            Free

NEEDLE ART CLUB

New! Get together w/ friends and share your patterns and ideas to Crochet, Knit, Needle-point, Embroidery, etc.

Ages: Adults 50+ Cost: Free

NUTRITIONAL SEMINARS

Texas Cooperative Extension Service provides information about nutrition for senior citizens. Free! 

Ages: 60+  12:00 Noon

OPEN RECREATION

Recreational activities include dominos and pool with occasional tournaments.

Ages: Adult – Free!

M-F 8:30 am-4:30 pm

 

POOL TOURNAMENTS

Tournaments are held monthly.  Amateur players are welcome.  Prizes are awarded to winners. 

Ages: 60+  Free.

PRODUCE

Various produce provided by the South Plains Food Bank and other donors. First-come, first-served basis.

Ages: Adults  Free!

 

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation to and from the center can be provided if requested.

Ages: 60+  $1 donation.
