Parks and Recreation 5th Annual Photography Contest and Exhibit

Sponsored by Parks and Recreation and hosted by the Garden and Arts Center.  Entries must be original works photographed within a City of Lubbock Park or Park Facility, including Lake Alan Henry. There is no fee to enter!  Maximum of five photos/person!   CLASSIFICATIONS YOUTH (18 or younger) and ADULTS   CATEGORIES LANDSCAPES - Landscapes, sunsets, and sunrises in our parks. NATURE and WILDLIFE - Plants, flowers, insects, and animals in our parks. PEOPLE - People in any park, ball field or park facility. PLACES - Architecture, abstract images, murals and art in our parks.   Entry Form Click here for 2008 entry form!   Schedule Drop off entries at the Garden and Arts Center, 4205 University, on Thursday, June 26th from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. or Friday, June 27th from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.   Opening Reception and Awards Presentation Monday, July 7 from 6:30-9:00 pm Awards Ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. Garden and Art Center 4215 University Avenue     Requirements The name of the park or park facility where the photograph was taken is required on all entries. Entries limited to five per person. All works must be framed and matted and ready to hang. Frames should be no smaller than 8”X10”. No saw tooth hangers please. Participants agree to allow the City of Lubbock and Lubbock Convention and Visitor’s Bureau use of photographs on the their websites and for promotional purposes only. All entries must be accompanied by a 4”X6” photo or a digital image on CD.   Entries must be delivered to the Garden & Arts Center (4215 University Ave. Lubbock, TX 79413) by Noon on June 29. Entries may be shipped, but must be received by the above deadline. The Garden & Arts Center will not ship back any entries.
